Cumulative manganese ore imports for the first quarter of 2025 stood at 5.8602 million metric tons, reflecting a reduction of 1.4337 million metric tons compared to the same period in 2024 (7.2939 million metric tons), equivalent to a 19.66% contraction in annualized terms.
The top five manganese ore import source countries in March 2025 were:
- South Africa (1.0748 million metric tons)
- Ghana (295,500 metric tons)
- Gabon (244,700 metric tons)
- C?te d'Ivoire (77,000 metric tons)
- Myanmar (69,900 metric tons)
These five countries collectively supplied 1.762 million metric tons of manganese ore, constituting 91.24% of China's total imports during the reported period.
